Welcome to my homepage!

I am Maître de Conférences (Associate Professor) at Université Paris-Est, Marne-la-Vallée, permanent researcher of Laboratoire d'Informatique Gaspard Monge (IMAGINE Group - A3SI Team - LIGM Lab), UMR 8049 CNRS·ENPC·ESIEE·UPEM, Université Paris-Est, France. My research interests mainly lie in those fields related to Modeling and Inference, such as Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Image Analysis, Optimization methods, etc.. Previous works are mainly based on graphical models and deep models (G-Scholar Page).

I received my PhD degree in Applied Mathematics at École Centrale Paris, France, under the supervision of Prof. Nikos Paragios. After that, I was postdoctoral researcher, working with Prof. Stefano Soatto at University of California, Los Angeles, USA, and then with Prof. Michael J. Black at Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Germany.

I was born in Huangshan (one of the most beautiful cities in China), which is rich in mountains (Mount Huangshan), rivers (Xin'an River), ancient villages (Hongcun and Xidi) and a mix of cultures (Huizhou Culture encompassing architecture, carving, cuisine, opera, medicine, merchants, painting, etc.).

When I was 18 years old, I went to Xi'an (one of the oldest cities in China) to start my college life in Xi'an Jiaotong University. I obtained my bachelor's degree after four years of studies there. Following that, I went to France in 2004 to pursue my studies and also to learn more about western countries and cultures. I obtained an engineer's degree (Diplôme d'Ingénieur) from Université de Technologie de Troyes, and an M.Sc. degree from École Centrale Paris/École Normale Supérieure de Cachan. Due to a great interest in research and teaching, I started my PhD studies at École Centrale Paris in 2007 and received my PhD degree in 2011. Following that, I did two postdocs (at UCLA and MPI for Intelligent Systems, respectively) and started my faculty career from 2014. Locations of visitors to this page
