Welcome to my homepage!

I am Maître de Conférences (tenured Assistant Professor) at Université Paris-Est, Marne-la-Vallée, a research member of Laboratoire d'Informatique Gaspard Monge, UMR 8049 CNRS·ENPC·ESIEE·UPEM, Université Paris-Est. My reasearch interests consist of Computer Vision, Optimization methods, and Machine Learning.

I received my PhD degree in Applied Mathematics at École Centrale Paris, under the supervision of Prof. Nikos Paragios. After that, I was postdoctoral researcher, working with Prof. Stefano Soatto at University of California, Los Angeles, and then with Prof. Michael J. Black at Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems.

I was born in Huangshan (one of the most beautiful cities in China), which is rich in mountains (Mount Huangshan), rivers (Xin'an River), ancient villages (Hongcun and Xidi) and a mix of cultures (Huizhou Culture encompassing architecture, carving, cuisine, opera, medicine, merchants, painting, etc.).

When I was 18 years old, I went to Xi'an (one of the oldest cities in China) to start my college life in Xi'an Jiaotong University. I obtained my bachelor's degree after four years of studies there. Following that, I went to France in 2004 to pursue my studies and also to learn more about western countries and cultures. I obtained an engineer's degree (Diplôme d'Ingénieur) from Université de Technologie de Troyes, and an M.Sc. degree from École Centrale Paris/École Normale Supérieure de Cachan. Due to a great interest in research and teaching, I started my PhD studies at École Centrale Paris in 2007 and recevied my PhD degree in 2011. Locations of visitors to this page
