The general rules for copy and redistribution of content available on this website depend on the nature of the resource:
- In general, any redistribution of modified or unmodified works available on this website requires the prior permission of their author(s) unless a specific licensing information is explicitely mentioned.
- My PhD thesis (in French) is available under the terms of the Creative Commons By-NC-ND 3.0 license: copy and redistribution of unmodified content is free with no commercial purposes.
- Research papers published as technical reports of the Gaspard-Monge Computer Science Laboratory (LIGM) can be also used under the terms of the Creative Commons By-NC-ND 3.0 license.
- However, most research papers published in conference proceeedings or journals have (unfortunately) their copyright transfered to the publisher. In general, such papers can be downloaded only for personal or classroom non-profit use. Note that these papers cannot be mirrored on foreign sites (they must be available only on the website of the authors or their institution; and of course on the publisher's site... with a fee). For further information, consult the copyright policies of ACM, IEEE, Springer and Elsevier.
- Classroom material (lecture notes and slides) are available following the terms of the Creative Commons By-NC-SA 3.0: redistribution of modified (or unmodified) versions is permitted as long as it is made with no commercial goals and released with a compatible copyleft license (allowing also free redistribution of modified works). However, it is not forbidden (and even recommended) to inform the author about any adaptation of its works ;-)
