FUNCTION: Perm2Rd - calculate a canonical reduced decomposition of a permutation

CALLING SEQUENCE:

Perm2Rd(perm)

SG[Perm2Rd](perm)

PARAMETERS:

perm = any list denoting a permutation

SYNOPSIS:

• The Perm2Rd function calculates a canonical reduced decomposition of perm. It is obtained by reading the Rothe diagram.

• Whenever there is a conflict between the function name Perm2Rd and another name used in the same session, use the long form SG['Perm2Rd'].

EXAMPLES:

> with(SG):
> Perm2Rd([4,2,6,1,3,5]);
 
                            [3, 2, 1, 2, 5, 4, 3]
