How to apply for a Chinese visa
Chinese visa :
 
Chinese visa is a permit issued to a foreigner by the Chinese visa authorities for entry into, exit from or transit through the Chinese territory. The Chinese visa authorities may issue a Diplomatic, Courtesy, Service or Ordinary Visa to a foreigner according to his identity, purpose of visit to China and passport type.
For the attendee of this conference, you just need to apply for a "F" visa or travel visa.
The procedure is as follows :
(1)
We first need the following information:
  Name as shown on the passport:
Passport Number:
Citizenship:
Date of Birth:
Title of your position:
Work Address:
Work Phone Number:
Work Fax Number:
Expected Dates of Arrival and Departure:
Times you have ever been in China:

If you have a companion, please provide the information also.

Please also tell us which country you will apply for visa at the Chinese Embassy in.

   
(2) Once we get the above information, we will then apply for an official document that can be used for your visa application. The document will be email to you as a pdf file. Usually, a copy of the document suffices for your visa application package. If you need the original document, please feel free to let me know, I will send it to you as soon as possible.
   
(3) After you receive the official document, you may use it to apply for an official visit visa (business visa) to China. Please find the address of the Embassy or nearest Consulate of China, and send in your visa application.
   
(4) If you wish to get your visa fast, some consulates may offer the express service. Of course, this requires an extra fee.
   
(5) As an alternative, you can always apply for a tourist visa. This can be done through a travel agency, or you do it yourself.
