State-run carmaker Regie Nationale desUsines Renault &lt;RENA.PA> said it plans to cut 1,300 jobs at its
Boulogne-Billancourt centre in Paris by this summer which will
reduce its workforce there to 5,500 by June from a current
6,810.
    Renault said that in an overall plan to improve
productivity it planned to reduce the workforce to 5,100 at the
end of this year.
    The car firm has already announced its intention to reduce
its total workforce to 73,000 by end-1987 from 79,000 at the
end of 1986.
