White House spokesman MarlinFitzwater said the administration had some disagreements with
the trade bill that cleared a House subcommittee yesterday but
generally felt good about the bill.
    "Generally we feel very good about the bipartisan
consideration of the trade legislation. I think we are
progressing very well," he told reporters.
    "There are wide areas of agreement. There are some areas of
disagreement," he said.
