President Reagan is to nominateKenneth Rogers, president of the Stevens Institute of
Technology, to be a member of the Nuclear Regulatory
Commission, the White House said.
    Rogers, 58, would succeed James Asseltine for a five-year
term expiring June 30, 1992. He has has been president of the
Stevens Institute, in Hoboken, N.J., since 1972. He was
previously acting provost and dean of faculty.
